We're in Chongqing...We'll be meeting Libby in 2 hrs.

THANKS ALL AGAIN FOR YOUR PRAYERS, AND SUPPORT...OUR COUNT DOWN HAS BEGUN. LIBBY WILL BE DELIVERED TO US TODAY AT 4:00pm (that's 1:00AM PST Monday June 9 at home) ....

We’ve been blessed to travel here today with 2 other Christian families (also adopting “special needs”), and had the opportunity to pray together at the Chongqing airport before traveling to our hotel. The Lord shared a verse with me this morning as we were flying into the city; 2 Tim. 1:6~7 “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” Please be praying that our hearts would be prepared to show Christ’s love to this little girl, and that she’d be ready to receive it…Wo ei nei!

I'm so glad Will and I checked your blog before bed - and this is late for us (11:20). How exciting all of this is; my stomach has butterflies knowing you'll meet Libby in about an hour and a half!!! Wow! We continue to pray for you and your precious daughter you've been waiting for. Can't wait to hear more....

Hello Wood Family!

This is Kellie Henderson chiming in to send my best wishes and prayers for Libby and you guys! We adopted our daughter Sadie from Chongqing on Nov 13, 2005! Tami Smith and Robyn Calvi (my sister in law) shared your blog link with us! I'm so excited to follow along on your trip-- it's such an amazing journey. I cherish my own memories and love having the opportunity to peek in while your family makes memories too! Liberty is blessed to have you-- but I suspect you will feel the greater blessing to have her! Enjoy every minute of your time in China! -- Kellie

We kept checking last night before we went to bed. And I must have woke up about 3 times and I was praying for you. It is now about 10:00 p.m. on Gotcha Day. Praying that you all will get a good night sleep. Can't wait to meet her.
love, Tami (for all of us)

Hi Kristy and Chad,

Maria shared your blog with me. I am so excited for you all and your new daughter. Not only is she going to be a blessing to your family, but she is undoubtedly going to be completely blessed with love and fun for the rest of her life. You all look great and for Hanna and Tiffany, WOW! They are adorable, and they seem to be falling right in line with the one underlying theme I have seen in Wood family and that is reaching out to others with love and fun. I am so excited and will remember you all in my prayers and thanksgiving to the Lord. May the Lord continue to bless and enrich your lives.

Isn't adoption unbelievalbe? It is so humbling when you see your child for the first time and realize that God has ordained this child to be yours from the foundations of the earth. I remember each of our kids seeing them for the first time...I still can't believe I am their mommy... and realizing what a huge responsibility we have...chosen by God to parent these children...His Grace and Mercy never cease. And I LOVE the fact that the love for the child is immediate and the bond is too. Enjoy!

We are counting down for your next blog because you have already been united with Libby.
We are filled with excitement because it feels we, too will have an addition to our family.
I expect nothing else from Hannah and Tiffany because their hearts have always been nurturing and compassionate. As a matter of fact I can say it is the very core of
the Woods.
We are blessed to be in your lives.
All our love,

The Kums

Hi Christy, we met once through mutual friends and I received an urgent prayer request from Kelly F. today. I'm reading your blog and crying tears of joy at the sight of your precious Liberty! My prayers are with you today - Do not be anxious about anything. Take today's call on your life and give your best to Jesus - that's all you have! If tomorrow comes, then you get another opportunity to give your best to Him again.

Hello to you all. I'm home now and have been able to see the blog site and the comments from all your friends and family. Kristy, I always knew how special you are, but back in 1968, who would have thought my little 7 lbs of joy would be in China now adopting her own little girl. Chad, Hannah and Tiffany, you are amazing... I love you all a bunch. Mother

We are following your amazing adventure everyday. Even though we have such diffrent stories, I can't help but admit we had so many of the same feelings you are having. Isn't it funny how becoming a new parent feels the same- even when the variables are so completly oppisite? You are such special people, and this beautiful little girl is so blessed to have you as a family. When things get a bit overhelming- I always like to think of the song- "All you need is love" and somehow I know it will all be ok. You are on our mind, and in our hearts
xoxo Stuart, Dayna, Madison, Satin, Sydney, Head, & little one
ps- we cant wait to meet her when you get back!
